School Workshops, Teacher Training, Parent Seminars

Practical Differentiation in the Classroom "Differentiation" is a key word in modern education. How can we deliver a program to a mixed group of learners which allows continual academic and skills progress for all of them when they are all so different? This workshop takes teachers through the process of identifying learners' learning styles and explores what we can do to expand programs and extend student learning without busting a foofoo valve doing it.

The Brain Day with Derek Pugh: Re-engaging Kids at Risk  Based on The Brain Day this workshop is specifically designed for those kids who are falling between the cracks for whatever reason - low school attendance, community breakdown and stress, substance abuse, cultural obligations etc. It can also cater for students who may have literacy or English language difficulties. Download the program here.

Educational Leaders and Brain Compatible Education Advances in neuroscience and what it means to educators have moved so quickly that without explicit, active learning,  few Principals will have the whole picture. This corporate brain day is designed to provide information on what school leaders must do to make their schools truly brain compatible. (here)

The Corporate Brain Day with Derek Pugh During The Corporate Brain Day we discover some of the mysteries of our brains and how our brains are organised and function, using brain compatible learning techniques - including actual brain dissections. We learn about our memories, how to care for our brains and why we feel emotions and behave as we do. We will learn the language of learning and new ways to nurture our own brain as we age and how best to prepare it for effective learning (here).
